“CADAVRE EXQUIS”
AW26 PRESENTATION AT CPHFW

Cadavre Exquis takes its name from the surrealist game built on fragmentation, collaboration, and trust. The AW26 collection emerges from a similar process, shaped by dialogue, intuition, and ideas that arrive incomplete, allowing meaning to form gradually.

The suit serves as a point of departure—not as a stable form, but as a structure embedded with history and authority. It is dismantled and reassembled. Proportions slip, details repeat, and construction becomes porous, as rhythm begins to replace rigidity. The garments retain a sense of openness, as if still in transition.

The presentation unfolds within an interior shaped by time rather than neutrality. Garments made from deconstructed vintage suits carry traces of previous lives. Subtle markers of origin and emergence appear throughout the space, suggesting process rather than outcome.

Anachronism moves through the installation: early 2000s references, reconstructed leather accessories, and small functional objects acting as restrained carriers of memory. Cadavre Exquis frames uncertainty as a method—progression without full clarity, allowing form
to emerge along the way.
